Degree Programmes
Architecture surrounds us all. We live, learn and sleep in it. It is our built environment. Buildings, streets and cities are contemporary witnesses. They reflect artistic trends, cultural characteristics, technical possibilities, ecological conditions, social and economic circumstances. Architecture is therefore also a time machine: historical buildings transport us into the past, futuristic ones into a distant future. Architecture influences the mood of people and the atmosphere of places. It can trigger a fascination with the effect of spaces and shapes, light and materials.
Architecture can, therefore, also be described as the art of building. The art of designing a building so that it is not only beautiful in an aesthetic sense, but also useful. To plan it in such a way that people feel comfortable in it. To build in such a way that it lasts for many years. This is what architects do, responsibly dealing with resources and the environment. And much more: they organise construction sites, monitor schedules and construction costs, and work in teams with engineers. Our degree programmes first teach the basics and later provide in-depth knowledge for practising the profession.
