FH ID, webmail, Campus Office, QIS and ILIAS
First-year students cannot avoid these tools: checking emails, creating a timetable, e-learning and exam registration explained here.
Tip: First-year students should familiarise themselves with FH Kennung, Webmail, Campus Office, QIS and ILIAS as soon as possible.
FH identifier
Every student receives a university account at the beginning of their studies. This is used for authentication for various services, such as email, WLAN, registration for events, etc.
Webmail
The FH ID gives you access to the FH e-mail address. It is used for
- Communication with the FH
- Communication with teaching staff
- Communication with alumni
Please check at least once a week or set up a forwarding to your private email address.

QIS
- Registration for examinations
- Cancellation of exams (up to one week before the start of the exam)
- Viewing the final module grades
- Creating a transcript of grades
- Change of postal address
- Printing out parking permits

Campus Office
- Planning and managing your own degree programme
- Registering for courses and lectures provided for in the Examination Regulations for the degree programme
- Creating your personal timetable
- Mail alerts about room and date changes
- Access to online examination registration QIS
- Export in iCal format and import into AppleiCal, Outlook, Thunderbird, Google Calendar etc.

Access to Campus Office
ILIAS
- Retrieve online learning materials (PowerPoint slides, bibliographies, etc.)
- Upload submissions
- Tracking the learning progress
- Online collaboration (Etherpad)
- Creation of surveys for project, bachelor's or master's theses
Whether and to what extent ILIAS is used for a course is communicated by the respective lecturers in the courses and lectures.
