Maths preliminary course

Before the winter semester, a preliminary mathematics course is held for freshers on the Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Business Informatics Bachelor's degree programmes. This gives students the opportunity to refresh their knowledge of maths and the basics of differential and integral calculus and linear algebra.

The preliminary course usually takes place at the end of September, from 9:00 am to approx. 5:00 pm. Dates will follow.

Attendance is free of charge. The preliminary course consists of a lecture part, an exercise phase and a discussion of the exercises.

In addition, there is the Online Mathematics Bridge Course (OMB+), which is standardised nationwide and specially designed for degree programmes with a mathematics component.

Please note the following information from the Studierendenwerk if you would like to eat in the dining hall (Mensa) at the student rate during the preliminary course and do not yet have an FH card. Your student ID card is valid as proof of attendance.
