Control and simulation technology for rail vehicles
Laboratory for control and simulation technology for rail vehicles
Numerical simulation and hands-on experimental setups, among others, are used in the lab "Control and simulation technology for rail vehicles" for teaching different topics of control and simulation technology for rail vehicles.
Besides ten PC work places, the main parts of the lab equipment are experimental setups for control and simulation technology installed on rail vehicles. The experimental setupst have been specially developed for the degree program.
In practical trainings of the modul Simulation Technology, students have to work on different tasks using numerical simulation.
In Control Technology, students deal (among other topics) with the real time transfer of information via different bus systems such as MVB, CAN or wired train bus.
The practical training is structured in a way that allows students to develop a rail-specific control task by their own on the example of a door control - from analyzing the system at the beginning, choosing the right components, to implementation, and testing.
