Please note that the temporary library card is only valid for a limited period and will be automatically blocked 4 weeks after the production of your FH Karte.
- If you do not activate the card until then, the following services will not be available for you:
- Using the card as library card (i.e. checking out or returning media or extending the loan period)
- Payment function for the dining halls (Mensa) and cafeterias of the Studentenwerk Aachen
- ID function for proof of your identity for participating in the various sport courses offered at the Hochschulsportzentrum
For being able to use the full range of services, you must activate your FH Karte in two steps:
1.) Enter the activation code which you have received along with your FH Karte by visiting the website https://services.fh-aachen.de and choosing “card overview” in the menu.
2.) For activating the payment functions, insert your FH Karte into one of the charging terminals in the dining halls (Mensa) and cafeterias of the FH Aachen. After that you can also load money on your card at these charging terminals and use the card for making payments.
