Buddy Programme

At the beginning of your study abroad, you may be confronted with challenging situations: You are in a foreign country far away from home, you have to communicate in a language which you probably don’t write and speak fluently and you have to manage an unfamiliar educational system. 

The Buddy Programme provides a helping hand as you settle down and get to know student life. The International Faculty Office organises the Buddy Programme as a service for international exchange students at the Faculty of Business Studies.

Buddies are students from the FH Aachen Faculty of Business Studies who are interested in assisting international students.

Buddies will

• help you find accommodation in Aachen
• pick you up at the railway station/bus station
• take you to the residence hall
• help you with the paperwork
• show you around in Aachen and the university

With an experienced Buddy at your side, you will quickly learn everything about university life, become familiar with leisure activities and get to know your first German friend. If you have any questions or need some advice, if you just want to have a coffee or go out for a drink, your Buddy should be among the first persons to ask.

Your Buddy will contact you via email before you arrive here. You don’t need to apply for the programme.
