Ecological chemistry, environmental and food analysis
The subject area is primarily concerned with questions from environmental chemistry as well as the chemistry of food and consumer goods. The focus here is on the application and development of examination and analysis methods. In lectures and practical trainings, but also in research projects, problems from the fields of water, soil and air analysis, but also plant and food analysis are dealt with. The investigations serve both the assessment of the pollutant load of samples and the characterisation with regard to value-giving ingredients. The methods of modern instrumental analysis are used for this purpose.
