Central Quality Improvement Commission of the FH Aachen
The Quality Improvement Commission draws up recommendations for the allocation of quality improvement funds and advises the university management on the use of funds.
In accordance with the Study Quality Act, the universities in NRW have annual quality improvement funds at their disposal. These funds are earmarked for the improvement of teaching and study conditions. In particular, they can be used to improve the ratio of full-time teaching staff to students with the aim of reducing drop-out rates and increasing the number of graduates.
The Quality Improvement Commission draws up planning proposals for the use of funds and reviews the appropriate and planned utilisation. More than half of its voting members are students. If you are interested in becoming a member of the commission, please get in touch. The members are elected every year or every two years.
The meetings of the Quality Improvement Commission usually take place twice a semester. Applications and proposals for the use of funds can be sent informally to QVK(at)fh-aachen.de . Please describe your request, explain why it could contribute to improving teaching and study conditions for all students at the university and, if applicable, enclose an initial cost estimate. The Quality Improvement Committee usually meets 2 to 4 times a year. Urgent applications can be dealt with by circulation if necessary.
