The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and the regional and supraregional economy are already working together as partners in many areas. This results in benefits for all parties involved.

Research co-operations not only enable the participating companies to attract skilled labour at an early stage, but also to open up new markets through innovations. The faculties receive impetus for application-oriented research fields. This enables us to make the training even more practical for the students, which in turn makes it easier for them to start their careers. The numerous joint projects provide students with many opportunities to write their final theses directly or together with a company. They are often shown interesting job prospects even before they have completed their degree. But Aachen society also benefits from new scientific findings and the resulting economic effects, as successful collaborations between universities and companies generate considerable added value.
