The main purpose of Internal Audit is to support all those involved in the service provision process in our organisation by providing independent auditing and advice to help them achieve the university goals set by the Rectorate.

We do not look for errors or misconduct in the personal work of individual employees, but for weak points in organisations, systems and processes that may be the cause of work errors by individuals.

The Rectorate's directive on internal auditing at FH Aachen governs the relationship with our clients in auditing and consulting. Our fields of activity are generally open to the university public.

FH Aachen is a member of the Joint Internal Audit Organisation of the Rhine region's universities. The Chancellor represents the university in the steering group there. The participating universities work together in auditing and counselling.
