Apprenticeship as IT specialist for system integration
As an IT specialist with the subject area of system integration, you design and implement complex systems in information and telecommunications technology by integrating hardware and software components. After installation and configuration, you put them into operation and rectify any faults that occur. IT specialists for system integration manage IT environments and perform tasks in the presentation of system solutions. You also advise and train users. Your typical areas of work are primarily in the areas of networks, wireless networks, client systems and server systems.
Content of the training
The in-company training takes place on the premises of the data processing centre as well as at the various locations of the university.
During your training, you can expect to get to know the processes and organisation of the FH Aachen in the area of data processing and IT systems in detail, so that you will soon be able to work independently. Your trainer will always be there to support you.
You will learn how to plan and configure IT systems. When problems occur in IT, you learn how to systematically isolate and rectify faults using special diagnostic systems.
Projects during your training could also include installing new systems and introducing you to their operation. Advising also falls within your area of responsibility. You will inform the FH Aachen users about which systems are best suited for their use.
