Applicants with Assessment Test
What is a Preparatory College?
A Preparatory College (Studienkolleg) serves as a subject-related and linguistic preparation for foreign applicants intending to study at a German university, if their school-leaving certificate is not sufficient for them to be able to study straight away.
With the Assessment Test (Feststellungsprüfung), which you get upon successful completion of a Preparatory College in Germany, you can apply for a degree programme at FH Aachen via uni-assist.
If you have passed your Assessment Test as part of the Freshman Program, your application will not be made via uni-assist. In this case, please contact the Registrar's Office.
What are Specialisation Courses?
Preparatory Colleges (Studienkolleg) offer various Specialisation Courses (Schwerpunktkurse) that prepare students for studies in a specific field.
- The M-course prepares students for studies in medical, biological and pharmaceutical degree programmes.
- The T-course prepares students for studies in mathematical-scientific or technical degree programmes.
- The W-course prepares students for degree programmes in economics and social sciences.
- The G-course prepares students for degree programmes in the humanities or German studies.
- The S-course prepares students for language studies.
