The Applied Chemistry Dual B.Sc. degree programme is a locally admission-restricted degree programme.
For admission-restricted degree programmes, you must register with the nationwide portal hochschulstart.de, where you will receive an applicant ID (BID) and an applicant authentication number (BAN). You can then use these two numbers to submit your application via the FH Aachen application portal.
For admission-restricted degree programmes, the number of places at university is limited. Therefore, not all applications may be accepted because there are more applicants than places at university.
If you have been allocated a place at university as part of the allocation procedure, you will receive an offer of admission.
For this degree programme, no proof of practical work (pre-study practical trainings) is required prior to admission. There are no entrance examinations.

admission requirements
A university entrance qualification (HZB) in one of these forms is required for all Bachelor's degree programmes:
- Abitur (certificate of general university entrance qualification)
- Entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences
Please note: Depending on the type of certificate, in addition to the "school-based part", a six-month or full-year "practical part" is also required for admission to the university of applied sciences(download PDF brochure from the state ministry). The practical part must be completed by 30 September for the winter semester or 31 March for the summer semester at the latest and proof of this must be submitted to the Registrar's Office. Some certificates from outside the state of NRW may have to be recognised by a district government. - Subject-linked university entrance qualification (only entitles the holder to study the degree programmes listed on the certificate)
- Vocational training and work experience (university entrance qualification without a (specialised) Abitur (university entrance qualification)): Under certain conditions, you can also start a degree programme without an entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences or an Abitur (university entrance qualification).
