Programme content
Our curriculum is designed in such a way that students receive appropriate training in all areas of sustainable chemistry in terms of depth and time. Inorganic, physical and organic chemistry form the basis for sustainable, nuclear and polymer chemistry in later semesters.
An important part of our Applied Chemistry degree programme is the acquisition of practical skills. This aspect is particularly important at universities of applied sciences, where students are supervised in small groups. At the Jülich campus, you will have access to excellently equipped laboratories.
A special feature of our 7-semester degree programme is the opportunity to complete a semester abroad, for example, by integrating the practical semester (6th semester). Alternatively, a research project with demanding content and time requirements is often carried out in combination with the final thesis in the 7th semester.

The degree programme at a glance
The Applied Chemistry degree programme is offered as a 6-semester and a 7-semester course. If you opt for a 7-semester programme, your 6th semester will be a practical semester or a semester abroad. You will then receive a total of 210 credits, which will enable you to study for a Master's degree at many universities. All in all, we are convinced that we can offer you a high-quality education and good learning conditions with promising career prospects.
