Application and Admission
The International Business Studies degree programme is an admission-restricted degree programme. Accordingly, only a limited number of places are available. In order to be able to apply for a degree programme, you must meet certain admission requirements. We would be happy to explain to you which requirements you need to meet and how you can then apply for a place on the degree programme.
University entrance qualification
- A certificate of general university entrance qualification (Abitur) entitles the holder to study the degree programme.
- A subject-linked university entrance qualification entitles the holder to study the degree programmes listed on the certificate.
- Vocational training and professional experience (university entrance qualification without Abitur): Under certain conditions, you can also study a degree programme without an entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences or an Abitur (university entrance qualification).
- Foreign university entrance qualification.
- With an entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences, you can study anything at our university of applied sciences.
But please bear this in mind: - Depending on the type of certificate, in addition to the "school-based part", a six-month or full-year "practical part" is also mandatory for admission to a university of applied sciences(download PDF brochure from the state ministry).
- Some certificates outside the state of NRW may have to be recognised by a district government.

This also applies to applications whose native language is English. Proof must be submitted to FH Aachen by 30 June of each year*.
