Degree Programme Variants
International Business Studies 3-year
In the first four semesters of your studies, you will acquire fundamental and practice-oriented knowledge of Business Studies, for example in marketing, human resources, finance, accounting, taxes and controlling. In addition, you will learn about business administration in important areas of other sciences such as economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or law.
You will complete the fifth and sixth semester at one of our double degree partner universities, which cooperate with us in the International Business Studies programme. For example, students spend their year abroad at a university in England, France, Poland, Australia or the USA, where they attend English-language courses. At the partner university abroad, you also decide on your specializations, i.e. the subjects that are of particular interest to you. This can be, for example, controlling, but also financial management, international business or marketing management. At the partner university abroad, you will write your bachelor's thesis in English.
If you have successfully completed your studies, you will receive a double degree. This means that in addition to the Bachelor of Science from FH Aachen, you will receive the corresponding academic title (usually also a Bachelor's degree) from your host university.
International Business Studies 4-year

In the further course of your studies, you decide whether you would like to study abroad for one year or a total of two years at one of our double degree partner universities. During your studies, you can, for instance, study the fifth and sixth semester at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences in Finland and the last year at FH Aachen (variant b), or stay at FH Aachen for six semesters and spend your last two semesters at Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland (variant a). If you prefer to study abroad for a longer period of time, this is also possible: For example, you can stay at Solbrige University in South Korea for four semesters (variant c).
You can find all the options we offer in the chart below.
No matter which option you choose: If you have successfully completed your studies, you will receive a double degree. This means that, in addition to the Bachelor of Science degree from FH Aachen, you will receive the corresponding academic title (usually also a Bachelor's degree) from your host university.
