Study-integrating training - SiA-NRW
Choose from three different training paths
The FH Aachen and the Berufskolleg Jülich are participating in the project "Study-integrating training (SiA-NRW)" with the degree programme in mechanical engineering PLuS. This project was launched as part of the federal competition "Shaping the Future - Innovations for Excellent Vocational Education and Training (InnoVET)".
What is special about the study-integrated training?
The study-integrating training enables young people with Abitur (university entrance qualification ) or Fachabitur ( vocational baccalaureate ) to acquire a dual vocational qualification and a Bachelor of Engineering within one training pathway. SiA-NRW now offers you a new form of dual studies.
What is new here is that you can choose between three different training paths within a deadline of 12 to 18 months: Dual studies, apprenticeship or full-time studies.
If you realise during this time that the double burden of studying and training in the dual studies programme is too demanding, you can decide to continue your training - or alternatively - to switch to full-time studies in mechanical engineering. This is how you can continue your studies.
Accompanying coaching at Berufskolleg Jülich accompanies this decision at an early stage and helps you to make the right decision for you.
Likewise, within the framework of SiA-NRW, certain contents of the training are recognised for the studies and modules of the studies are already taught in the vocational school.
Interest aroused? What to do?
