The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics (FB 8) currently has:

Approx. 1300 students in national and international study programs.
23 professors.
Lecturers from industry complement the faculty's course offerings in compulsory and elective subjects as well as extracurricular courses.
50 employees are currently working in the faculty, providing support in technology and administration, the organization and implementation of courses as well as in laboratories and the central machine shop.
27 laboratories. In addition, a central mashine shop supports the laboratories in the production of components and systems for teaching, student research projects and theses.
Approx. 130 partner universities worldwide. More and more students of our faculty take the opportunity of an exchange semester. At the same time, the number of international students attending courses at our faculty as exchange or full-time students is growing.
We have one English master's degree program and various courses taught in English. For most bachelor programmes, we offer double-degree options.
