Personnel matters relating to Student Assistants and Graduate Assistants
The subject area supports students in all matters relating to their employment as a student assistant at FH Aachen, from recruitment and contract preparation to termination contracts and cancellations (login required).
For recruitment as a Student Assistant or Graduate Assistant, the respective faculty is the first point of contact.
Working hours
Working time framework
Within the framework of flexible working hours (GLAZ), participating employees have the opportunity to use flexible working hours to better harmonise their work with individual needs, e.g. work-life balance at FH Aachen.
Employees can perform their individual work within a time frame of 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays and 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, taking into account the maximum daily and weekly working hours as well as work-related matters. If service hours are defined in an organisation, availability and responsiveness must be ensured during this period. Further information can be found on the FH Aachen service pages.
Mobile working
Mobile working is any form of work that enables employees to work outside of their place of work (so-called "first place of work"). Mobile working can be utilised on a voluntary basis, taking into account the interests of the company. There is no legal entitlement or obligation to participate in mobile working. After consultation with superiors, it is possible to work mobile working hours in accordance with the current service agreement.
Detailed information on flexitime and time correction forms can be found on the working time pages (login required).
Overtime/overtime work
Overtime/overtime work is defined as hours worked on the employer's instructions that exceed the regular working hours. You can find detailed information on the pages on working hours (login required). Overtime/extra work is authorised on application with the involvement of the Staff Council.
