Student Assistants and Graduate Assistants

Student Assistants (SHK) are assistants without a relevant university degree. Employment as a student assistant at FH Aachen is possible if the person to be employed is registered as a student at a German university or state-recognised university.

SHKs provide support for teaching and research, for example by assisting with the organisation of courses and lectures, colloquia, conferences, exercises, excursions and by selecting and compiling material for courses.

Graduate Assistants (WHK) are assistants with at least one relevant professionally qualifying university degree in a Diplom, Magister, Bachelor's or Master's degree programme. Employment as a WHK at FH Aachen is possible if the person to be employed is registered as a student at a German university or state-recognised university.
