If a teaching requirement cannot be met in any other way, in particular by full-time members of the university - possibly also from other faculties - as part of their official duties, teaching assignments are issued. Teaching programmes can also be supplemented in this way.

• Teaching assignments - together with teaching assignments at other universities - may not exceed 8 semester hours per week (SWS) and may not exceed 17 weeks within the lecture period.
• From 4 SWS, the measure is subject to co-determination by the Academic Staff Council. The teaching assignment can then only be granted with its approval and begins at the earliest on the day the resolution is passed. It does not have retroactive effect.
• The application for a teaching assignment must be submitted to Division I via the faculty (Dean's Office) at least 4 weeks before the start of the measure.
• The assignment is issued exclusively by the Human Resources Department.
