Your Partner in Dual Studies
Would you like to build up employees for your company in the long term? The dual studies programme at FH Aachen is a suitable instrument for securing skilled employees! It also offers many other advantages.
In addition to the classic dual study programme as a combination of studies and training (with integrated education), more and more degree programmes have been created in recent years that combine studies with practical work in a company (with integrated education). This way, qualified young people are directly tied to your company and already familiarised with the company's work processes during their studies. FH Aachen currently offers a total of 13 dual study programmes.
All dual study programmes at FH Aachen are free of charge for companies. The companies only pay the collectively agreed training allowance. The students themselves pay the social contribution and student activity fee once per semester, which can be taken over by the companies on a voluntary basis. For the phase after the training, the company decides individually on further employment. In most cases, a contract for work and labour is concluded for the period up to the Bachelor's degree.
Your Cooperation in Dual Studies
A cooperation agreement is concluded between the companies and FH Aachen, which, however, does not include any obligation to regularly advertise training or job opportunities within the scope of the dual studies.
The selection of suitable candidates with a university entrance qualification is carried out solely by the companies. As a university, we try to provide the companies with applications. The companies are not obliged to regularly offer apprenticeships or jobs as part of the dual studies programme.

Compulsory vocational school attendance is suspended for the duration of the study programme. Nevertheless, in many dual study programmes we cooperate with special vocational schools on a voluntary basis, which offer an adapted but reduced vocational school education for our dual students.
