Application and admission
The Applied Polymer Science degree programme is an admission-restricted programme. In order to be able to apply for a degree programme, you must meet certain admission requirements. We will be happy to explain to you which requirements you need to fulfil and how you can then apply for a place at university.
Admission requirements for the Master's degree programme Applied Polymer Science M.Sc.
- Suitable professionally qualifying degree obtained through at least three years of university study (e.g. Bachelor's/Diploma)
- With foreign proofs of education: Before enrolling on a German-language degree programme, you must provide proof that you have sufficient German language skills, e.g. the German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education(DSH-2).

Deadlines and application procedure
This degree programme can only be started in the winter semester.

If you would like to apply for the Master's degree programme in Applied Polymer Science, please follow the steps below:
Step1 | You have informed yourself about the degree programme.
Step2 | You have informed yourself about the admission requirements. You have a German university entrance qualification or would like to apply with a foreign university entrance qualification (+ proofs and certificates of sufficient German language skills).
Step3 | You have found out that the Applied Polymer Sciences degree programme is admission-restricted.
- Admission-restricted means that not all applicants receive a place at university. Only as many admissions are granted as there are places at university. Selection is primarily based on a ranking list of grades. Further information can be found under the following link.
Step 4 | The application is made online via the Registrar's Office application portal

The SSC is the first point of contact for students and prospective students and answers all questions about studying and the start of studies.
