Application and Admission

The Biotechnology B.Sc. degree programme is a degree programme without admission restriction (NC). However, in order to be able to apply for this degree programme, you must meet certain admission requirements. In addition to thegeneral admission requirements, you do not need to fulfil any other requirements for the Biotechnology B.Sc. degree programme. Please note the required language skills.

Required language skills

  • As stated in the general admission requirements, proof of German language skills must be provided for the Biotechnology B.Sc. degree programme. You can find out which certificates are recognised in the Examination Regulations. If you have any questions, please contact the General Academic Counselling Service or the Academic Counselling Service.
  • Proof of English language skills is not required for the degree programmes " Biotechnology" and "Biotechnology with pratical semester/semester abroad". For the degree programme " Biotechnology AOS", proof of sufficient foreign language skills in English at level B2 is required. Further information can be found in the Examination Regulations.

Notes on other requirements

  • No pre-study practical training is required, nor do you have to take an aptitude test.
  • Participation in the Online Self Assessment (OSA)/FH Navigator is not required for the Biotechnology B.Sc. degree programme.
  • The degree programme is not admission-restricted for WS2024/2025 (no location-based NC).
