Accredited degree programmes

Study programmes must meet defined standards with regard to their structure and objectives. These standards are defined by the federal states through legal ordinances(Study Accreditation Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia) on the basis of a joint state treaty (Study Accreditation State Treaty).
Due to the successful system accreditation, the FH Aachen has the right to independently review its study programmes from 1.10.2021 to 30.9.2029. The procedures of internal evaluation and accreditation replace the external programme accreditation and embed instruments of quality development and quality assurance in a closed loop. At the end of an internal accreditation procedure, the seal of the German Accreditation Council is awarded.
