De-Registration
A de-registration is carried out by the Registrar's Office of FH Aachen if you:
- have passed your final examination and your final grade has been recorded by the Examination Office. The de-registration takes place at the end of the semester in which the examination was passed,
- have definitively failed an examination required by the Examination Regulations,
- have not re-registered on time,
- have applied for de-registration.
If you no longer wish to continue your studies, you can de-register at the Registrar's Office upon application.
The quickest way to do this is to apply online in the FH Aachen portal via Home > My studies > Student services > Applications > De-Registration.
There you have the possibility to de-register at the end of the semester or with today's date.
After your application has been processed, you can download your certificate of exmatriculation from the FH Aachen-Portal in the section Certificates. It will also be sent to you by email.
Refund of the Semester Fee
If you de-register before the official start of lectures at the FH Aachen, you will receive a full refund of the semester fee.
If you de-register after the official start of lectures at the FH Aachen, the costs for the semester ticket may be refunded on a pro-rata basis. The AStA of FH Aachen is responsible for this. You can find a short description of the procedure and the corresponding application on the AStA homepage.
