Architecture B.A.
The Bachelor's degree programme in Architecture is designed to qualify you to work in planning and architectural offices and lay the foundation for various other activities in the architecture-related field of employment (for example in the real estate sector, in building maintenance, in construction management or in public administration). Furthermore, the degree from the Bachelor's degree programme gives you access to the Master's degree programme, which is the prerequisite for admission as an independent architect.
The programme at our faculty follows a strongly project-oriented guiding principle throughout the entire course of study. Through independent work, you should be enabled early on in your studies and with increasing independence to take on constructive planning activities, make well-founded design judgements and deal with social developments in a concrete way. The modules from the fields of "Technology" (e.g. Building Construction and Building Technology), "Design" (e.g. CAAD) and "Society" (e.g. Urban Planning, Architectural History and Management) are intended to ensure the necessary expertise and reflective skills. Particular importance is also attached to digital competence, which is to be promoted as a cross-sectional competence in several relevant modules. Independent profiling and self-determined studies are to be further favoured by several elective modules in addition to the project phases.
