Mechatronics B.Eng.
Many innovative technical products which we use every day only function through close interaction between mechanics, electronics and information technology. This mixed field of applications is known as mechatronics. It includes modern vehicles as well as smartphones and intelligent household appliances. In the mechatronics degree program, you will learn how such intelligent systems are developed based on the fundamentals of mechanical and electrical engineering and in conjunction with information technology.
The Mechatronics Bachelor's program is offered as a 7-semester full-time program. It is practice-oriented and qualifies you to perform engineering activities in the field of mechatronics in industry. In addition to scientific and technical skills, you also acquire interdisciplinary qualifications. Special emphasis is placed on the basic mechatronic elements, sensors, actuators and information technology combined with control engineering. You will be able to develop mechatronic systems that enable faster, less expensive and more complex solutions.

Are You Thinking about Studying Mechatronics?
But you're still not sure whether the bachelor's program is right for you? Mechatronics is just the right thing for you if you:
- are interested in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
- like Math and are creative.
- have ideas for new innovative products and like to "tinker" with new technical solutions.
- are fascinated by complex technical systems.
- would like to make machines "smarter" with the help of control and information technology.
- find robots (automation technology) exciting.
- want to improve communication between man and machine.
- want to know how machines communicate with each other and how sensors and control computers work.
- want to develop software yourself.
- would like to work together with other engineers in a project-oriented and interdisciplinary way.
